Ingredients:
- 1 cup semolina (sooji/rava)
- ¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 3 tablespoon ghee
- 2½ cups water or milk (milk makes it richer)
- ½ tablespoon cardamom powder
- 8–10 cashews (chopped)
- 8–10 raisins
Method:
- Roast the Semolina
- Heat 2 tablespoon ghee in a pan.
- Add semolina and roast on low flame.
- Stir continuously until it turns aromatic and light golden.
- In another pan, heat milk until warm (not boiling heavily).
- Slowly pour the warm milk into the roasted semolina.
- Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook until semolina absorbs the milk and becomes soft.
- Add mashed bananas and sugar.
- Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
- The mixture will loosen slightly and then thicken again.
- Add Flavour & Garnish
- Add remaining ghee, cardamom powder, cashews, and raisins.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until glossy and well combined.
Serving Tips:
- Serve hot for best taste.
- You can garnish with extra nuts or sliced banana.
- Tastes amazing as breakfast or dessert.
